INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Bauer Compressors Inc. is seeking a junior or senior student majoring in Graphic Design to
work as a part-time paid intern. The intern will work with the Graphic Designer in assisting in the production,
layout, and revisions of marketing communications. This position requires lots of energy, ability to work
independently, and meet quick deadlines.
Responsibilities include the following, but other duties may be assigned:
Maintains a close working relationship with the Graphic Designer to maintain and develop ideas.
Proofreads copy and artwork.
Photographs Bauer products.
Assists in ordering and archiving advertising media kits.
Maintains inventory of all advertising work.
Illustrates and designs labels (Engineering Drawings).
Research promotional vendors
Maintaining inventory of printed material.
Assist with ongoing trade publications.
Qualifications:
Junior, or senior Graphic Design student at an accredited four-year university
Proficiency using MAC OS X and PC Microsoft Office
QuarkXpress 9, CS6: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign is required.
Strong written communication skills
Must be creative, have good organizational skills, and be highly self-motivated.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to
successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the
employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use of eyes for close vision, use hands, fingers, grasp,
handle, reach, listen, talk and may need to talk on the telephone while taking notes. Occasionally the
employee must lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
The noise level is usually quiet. The person will or may be exposed to toner, and print cartridges. The
noise levels in some manufacturing facilities frequently may exceed the normal dBA.
