Dominion Enterprises Seeks Entry-Level Graphic Designer

Dominion Enterprises contacted the Art Department this week to announce their search for a qualified student to fill an entry-level graphic designer position with one of their divisions, The Employment Guide.

The Employment Guide, has an opening in our Norfolk office for Full-time: ENTRY LEVEL GRAPHIC/PRODUCTION DESIGNER. This position will require knowledge of specific graphics applications on a Macintosh platform. Designer will be responsible for newsprint advertisement creation/re-design on tight turnaround times and deadlines. This position is good for someone entering the design field who wants to gain more experience working with print and web. If you know your programs and can take a project from concept to production in a short amount of time, we want to hear from you.
Pay rate is $11-$12 per hour; Hours: 8:30– 5:30 (Mon-Fri)

Knowledge and Qualifications: Mac platform (OSX.4-.5), Adobe CS (Indesign/Photoshop/Illustrator, etc.), Flash, Dreamweaver, Keynote a plus, Microsoft Office, ability to work with tight deadlines/fast turnaround times, can multi-task and handle several projects at once, can communicate well with others and independently with little supervision. Portfolio required for interviews. Program literacy test is required during interview.

Responsibilities: Create newsprint display ads, Work with clients to develop branded ad campaigns, Proofing of ads, Design sales and marketing collateral
