Webmaster Opportunity

ODU’s Student Activities Council (SAC) is seeking an ODU art student to redesign and maintain their website for the 2008–2009 academic year.

Responsibilities include: design and maintain SAC website; keep site up-to-date by refreshing content and images; create test pages, templates and other graphical elements; manage the content pipeline; maintain weekly and monthly calendars; manage photos when available; ensure site design integrity and quality control; resolve any website issues; take pictures at SAC events; meet weekly with director and adviser; attend all weekly executive meetings; attend all GA meetings; attend Fall Retreat; attend Banquet; support/attend all SAC events; 6 office hours/week; attend the Summer Executive Meetings; attend Transitional Training Session; maintain general SAC publicity; advertise GA meetings; assist director with promotional materials; scrapbook publishing.

Qualifications: dedication to SAC; attendance at SAC events; experience in web design (or willingness to learn); minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5, and maintenance of a 2.2 average throughout the year; strong design style; knowledge of typography; user-centered design principles; creative design problem-solving skills; strong understanding of capabilities of various web browsers and development constraints of the internet and other interactive media.
